    Responsibilities

    • Conducting patrols (walking & vehicular)
    • Performing routine duties such as lockups, unlocks, and patient/visitor assistance
    • Writing detailed reports of incidents, injuries, accidents, etc.
    • Sitting at fixed posts
      Responding to various urgent and emergency calls throughout the facility
    • Assisting with patient stand-bys and restraints
    • Performing monthly checks of fire extinguishers throughout the facility
    • Traffic control as requested.
    • Perform all duties within the guidelines of an emergency contact dispatcher
    • Create ID’s and update card access ID system for hospital staff and vendors
    • Oversee Lost and Found / Control and release of patient property
    • Morgue detail
    • Respond to alarms
    • Follow HIPPA patient confidentiality – Pull medical records when needed
    • Must pass physical assessment prior to hire and every 6 months thereafter
    • Be a leader on a shift.
    • Work a minimum of 40 hours a week.
    • Ensure that all members are exceeding expectations.
    • Ensure shift schedules are managed aggressively to control overtime and ensure proper contract coverage.
    • Responsible for all security and safety equipment being accounted for and maintained in good working order.
    • Responsible for conducting employee inspections and appraisals.
    • Ensure new employees assigned to the shift are trained appropriately and all related documentation is completed.
    • Maintain client relations and attend all required Public Safety related meetings.
    • Additional duties as assigned by Site Supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Must have 20 Hour Basic Security Training Certification or willing to obtain one.
    • Must be at least 20 years of age.
    • Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts.
    • Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen), demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.
    • Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.
    • Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.
    • Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security and law enforcement incidents.
    • Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and standing; restrain violent subjects; make physical arrests; assist in fire fighting.
    • Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must have no more than 2 violations on your driving record within a 2 year period (if driving a company vehicle is required as part of job duties).
    • Must wear our uniform and maintain our high standards for grooming and appearance.
    • Must have or be willing/able to recieve a PERC.
