    • Must be able to walk, stand and climb stairs without reasonable accomodations.


    • Must be able to communicate with the client representative and/or his or her designee on a daily basis.


    • Must be able to do various patrols including, but not limited to, interior, exterior, and garage      patrols in inclement weather.


    • Must be able to memorize  locations and give directions.


    • Must be able to write clear, concise and detailed incident reports.


    • Secure various posts on a rotational basis including galleries, access ramps, staff elevators, coatroom and other areas as assigned.


    • Conduct periodic outside foot patrols and periodically roam floors.


    • Inspect all bags, packages, briefcases, duffel bags and other items of visitors and staff entering and leaving the museum, using x-ray machine (Magnetometer)


    • Protect paintings, artifacts, and exhibits by inspecting people and packages entering and leaving the building.


    • Deter and report unauthorized personnel or vehicular entry into the museum.


    • Inform visitors and staff of museum policies and enforce them appropriately


    • Monitor and maintain the flow of visitors in all galleries


    • Report to a Security Supervisor and assist with documenting any incident related to visitors, staff or art work


    • Identify safety hazards, suspicious behavior and potential problems and report to a Security Supervisor


    • Assist with emergency evacuations


    • Provide security at special events and dignitary escorts as required


    • Provide intrusion and fire alarm monitoring and response


    • Provide visitor pass services and control for “back of house” visitors


    • Serve as required in traffic direction; control and monitor admittances to parking areas


    • Assist with scheduling


    • Provide all training to staff



    • Must evidence have customer service skills and ability to communicate orally and in writing.


    • Basic 20 hour Security Training Certification


    • High School diploma or equivalent.


    • Must be at least 20 years of age.
