    This position requires a well organized and cooperative individual who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the needs of clients, building tenants and co-workers as well as have a proven track record of being reliable and responsible. The successful candidate will possess great verbal interaction and coaching skills to mentor and develop officer staff.



    • Oversee the entire operating department.
    • A mentor and daily resource to 40 security staff members.
    • Conducting employee inspections, performance reviews and appraisals
    • Administrative assignments to include interviewing/recruitment, completing monthly statistical reports, payroll/billing, data entry, overtime control, etc.
    • Attendance at various hospital committees
    • Employee training and skill development
    • Provide department and hospital-wide training
    • Service call assistance
    • Maintain the hospital’s command center, which includes CCTV, card access and alarm systems
    • Assure applicable JCAHO Environment of Care Standards are met for all three facilities
    • Ability to conduct on site security risk assessments
    • Capability of recommending security system upgrades and coordinate project management
    • Direct fiscal responsibility via cost effective budget management.
    • Policy and procedure development.
    • Responsibilities as described in department’s Operations Manual.



    Based on experience



    • 2 years prior experience in a supervisory position overseeing work of at least 10 employees.
    • Must have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Must have an aggressive work philosophy and strong leadership and teambuilding skills.
    • Experience with fire/life/safety programs required.
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License in good standing
    • A four (4) year degree is preferred
    • Must be extremely responsible, reliable, and flexible
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook preferred
    • Prior hospital security and JCAHO experience preferred
    • Network or IT security experience preferred
    • IAHSS Certification, CPP or CHSP preferred
