Job Functions:

  • Observe and evaluate officers’ activities on a day-to-day basis, in order to rate performance for later evaluations.
  • Issue discipline to officers for misconduct or failure in operations.
  • Respond to emergency situations.  Investigate and document all occurrences in incident reports.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to ensure the efficiency of operations.
  • Support the needs of clients, diverse guests and building tenants.
  • Train, mentor, supervise and develop officers.
  • Be first contact for emergency agencies such as, but not limited to, police department or fire department.
  • Notify management to all major incidents occurring during the watch.
  • Fill open vacancies for special details and department needs if needed.
  • Conducting employee inspections and appraisals.
  • Complete dailypaperwork.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge: Experience or education that evidences skills to perform job functions.  Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

  • Have or be willing to obtain the 20 Hours Basic Security Training Certification
  • Experience with fire/life/safety programs preferred.
  • Experience working and managing a unionized workforce preferred.
