    This position requires a well organized and cooperative individual who learns quickly and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work a flexible schedule to support the needs of clients, building tenants, and co-workers as well as have a proven track record of being reliable and responsible


    • Ability to move around commercial office building using walkways, stairs, and elevators

    • Patrol guest areas and Conference areas, requires walking up to 10 Miles per shift

    • Respond to Positive Fire Alarms within 3 minutes (required by the St. Charles Fire Dept)

    • Respond to medical emergencies within a timely manner

    • Obtain and maintain certification for CPR and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) and be able and willing to administer CPR and AED response in an emergency

    • Lock & unlock requests

    • Lock / Unlock Conference area classrooms / Lock / Unlock all conference area entrances & patio doors

    • Motor vehicle inspection / Ability to operate a motor vehicle (Valid DL required)

    • Welfare checks

    • Parking enforcements

    • Handling of lost & found property

    • Escorting and assisting employees, guests and vendors

    • Test exterior ving readers and call boxes

    • Special details - parking lot details and other on-site events

    • Call in work orders for maintenance and monitor campus for safety hazards

    • Access control for main & south entrances

    • Respond to disturbances/noise complaints

    • Respond and assist with elevator malfunctions and entrapments

    • Check all fire panel rooms/Check roof hatches

    • Check boiler rooms, penthouses, laundry rooms, game rooms and Fitness Center

    • Check all fire extinguishers

    • Utilize the following applications: Lotus Notes, and various databases

    • Patrol the trail from Conference Area to the Woodlands Office Building

    • Perform a task not specifically mentioned in the established post and patrol orders that is requested by the client

    • Assist with the relocation of guest during a weather emergency

    • Ability to work 12 hour shifts when needed


    • Must be at least 20 years of age.

    • Must be a high school graduate (GED accepted) and provide us with a copy of your diploma and/or transcripts.

    • Must have or be willing to obtain a 20 hour training certificate.

    • Must pass a stringent pre-employment background investigation (including drug screen)

    • Demonstrating a stable work history and/or education.

    • Must disclose all criminal convictions and pending charges.

    • Must be a cooperative team player with good oral and written communication skills.

    • Must be capable of evaluating, investigating and reporting all types of security and law enforcement incidents

    • Must be able to withstand extended periods of walking and standing

    • Must maintain a working telephone number through which we can contact you

    • Must have reliable transportation

    • Must have a valid Driver's License.

    • Must have no more than 2 violations on your driving record within a 2 year period (if driving a company vehicle is required as part of job duties).

    • Must wear our uniform and maintain our high standards for grooming and appearance.

    • Must have or be able to receive a PERC.
