We are looking for an entry level security technician that has experience with access control technologies or a willingness to learn the trade. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company with tremendous room for advancement. The position would entail installing and servicing enterprise level access control systems, integrated locksets, intercoms, visitor management systems, and video management systems. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as there is an immediate opening. The applicant must prosses excellent communication skills and work well with team members and clients alike.
•Perform electronic security system installations (Electrified Locking Hardware and associated devices, Card Readers, Access control panels and power supplies, Intercom etc.)
•Program Access Control hardware and software.
•Implementing system upgrades and updates.
•Perform network configuration checks.
•Knowledge of AutoCAD and / or Microsoft Visio a plus.
•Review and submit Preventative Maintenance Check documentation as required.
•Receive and interpret project documents (drawings, site surveys, permits, materials sold, etc.).
•Adhere to OSHA Standards.
•Maintain proficiency via scheduled and self-study training.
•Other duties as assigned.
The applicant must possess excellent team communication skills and work well with customers. The ideal applicant must be capable of working independently with direction from superiors.
•Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices
•Candidates must be able to use computers effectively
•Valid State Driver’s License
•Have a valid PERC
•Capable of lifting up to fifty pounds in equipment/tools
Not a necessity but a would be beneficial
•3-5 years’ experience with installing and programming access control systems including but not limited to: Avigilon, Software House, S2 Security, Hirsch, Lenel etc.
•Proven experienced in low voltage wiring and code requirements.
•Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics.
